I am thankful...

I am thankful for my husband

Who says he doesn't want hot dogs tonight

Because he is home with me

And not out with someone else

For my husband who is on the sofa

Being a couch potato

Because he is home with me

And not out at the Bars

For my children

Who are complaining about doing chores and cleaning up their mess

Because it means they are at home

And not on the streets

For the taxes I pay

Because it means I am employed

For the mess to clean after the party

Because it means I have been surrounded

By people who care about me

For the clothes that fit a little too snug

Because it means I have enough to eat

For my shadow that watches me at work

Because it means I am out in the sunshine

For the lawn that needs mowing

Windows that need cleaning

Gutters that need fixing

Because it means I have a home

For all the complaining I hear about the government

Because it means we have freedom of speech

For the parking spot

I find at the far end of the parking lot

Because it means I am capable of walking

And have been blessed with transportation

For my huge heating bill

Because it means I am warm

For my huge electric bill in the summer months

Because it means I am comfortably cool

For the noise that often annoys me

Because it means I can hear

For the pile of laundry

Because it means I have clothes to wear

For the weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day

Because it means I am capable of working hard

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours

Because it means I am alive

And finally for too much email

Because it means I have friends who are thinking of me

6th folder and 6th picture...

Games are fun especially when the lead to an easy blog post. A wonderful friend of mine Cindy Jones at Sagescript tagged me for this "6th picture meme". By the way, here is the definition of meme given by wordnet.princeton.edu: "a cultural unit (an idea or value or pattern of behavior) that is passed from one person to another by non-genetic means (as by imitation)." The rules of this meme are:

1.Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures

2.Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder

3.Post that picture on your blog and tell the story that goes along with the picture.

4.Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

I must admit, I wasn't sure what kind of picture would be in the 6th folder, my kids take numerous pictures of themselves regularly to share with their friends and most of the time they are making funny faces but this time it's actually a picture that i know the story behind it! Enjoy!
So here it is folks, my 6th picture that was in my 6th folder.
My daughter Katie took this picture of herself when we were on our way to pick up some friends and go for dinner! We all had alot of fun that night!
